Experienced or new to embroidery? This little project is fun for all. Your bag can be used for sewing supplies, as a makeup bag, a pencil case or simply for odds and ends. The possibilities are endless! It can be made in 3 sizes depending on the hoops for your particular machine. Finished sizes in inches: 5 x 3 x 2, 7 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 and 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 3
Crazy bag “In the Hoop” supply list
• 5 x 3 x 2 smallest size:
• Batting 1 - 18cm x 23cm (7” x 9”) cut one for each panel
• Lining - 36cm x 23cm (14” x 9”)
• 1 x Nylon dress zipper - 18cm (7”) or longer and least 1” (2.5cm) in width or larger
• A variety of fabrics up to 18 but, definitely not necessary… 6-8 is fine
• 7 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 medium size
• Batting 1 - 20cm x 30cm (8” x 12”) cut one for each panel
• Lining - 41cm x 30cm (16” x 12”)
• 1 x Nylon dress zipper - 25.5cm (10”) or longer and least 1” (2.5cm) in width or larger
• A variety of fabrics up to 18 but, definitely not necessary… 6-8 is fine
• 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 3 large size
• Batting 1 - 23cm x 36cm (9” x 14”) cut one for each panel
• Lining - 46cm x 36cm (18” x 14”)
• 1 x Nylon dress zipper - 30cm (12”) or longer and least 1” (2.5cm) in width or larger
• A variety of fabrics up to 18 but, definitely not necessary… 6-8 is fine
There will be top stitching on each side so, bring 2 embroidery threads to go with the fabrics you have chosen.
You will also need your embroidery machine (and manual if new to embroidery) as well as scissors, bobbin thread, some type of tape to secure your zipper before stitching it in place and your Olfa cutter with a ruler.
